Publisher: Audible
Publication Date: 29 April 2008
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Fantasy

You can run from the grave, but you can’t hide…

Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rogue undead. She’s still using everything Bones, her sexy and dangerous ex, taught her, but when Cat is targeted for assassination, the only man who can help her is the vampire she left behind.

Being around Bones awakens all her emotions, from the adrenaline rush of slaying vamps side by side to the reckless passion that consumed them. But a price on her head—wanted: dead or half-alive—means her survival depends on teaming up with Bones. And no matter how hard Cat tries to keep things professional between them, she’ll find that desire lasts forever…and Bones won’t let her get away again. Original.

My Review:
Wow, where do I even begin. I loved this series before and I love it even more now! It took me a while to be able to squeeze this one in as I had 2 audio reviews that were priority above this one. Cat and Bones are by far my number 1 paranormal couple. Jeaniene has made my top author list and I kick myself for waiting so long to get to her books!!!

If you ever wanted to try out an audio book.. start with this series. I used my first free token to grab book 1, another one for book 2 and now I am going to enter all the audiobook competitions I can find so I can get book 3!

Narrator: 5/5 Tavia Scott - I love her narrating and will listen to anything by her! I cannot sing enough praise for this awesome lady. She has set the bar high for audiobook narrators in my opinion.

Characters & Storyline: 5/5

Jeaniene creates wonderful and colourful characters. She draws you in and you experience everything with them.

Cat - I love Cat!! She is sassy, fun, smart and well just all round brilliant. I was heart-broken at the end of Halfway to the Grave and wanted to whack Cat over the head with her own book. I am happy to say that she got some sense knocked into her and I loved every moment of this adventure.

Bones - oh *swoon* melts in a puddle.... sigh... oh sorry were you waiting to hear more about this absolutely delicious character? Bones is as swoonworthy as ever and he knows just how to handle Cat. Every girl could only hope to find a man who loves her like that.

Justina - Grrr... I couldn't handle Cat's mom the first time round and I didn't like her any better the second time round. I am so happy Cat is learning to stand up to her!! I love it when Bones is straight with and scares the nillies out of her!!!!

Dawn - Wow now there is a surprise waiting for you guys!!! I did not see that one coming.

Tate, Juan and Cooper - Juan is by far my favourite characters (Other than Bones). He cracked me up so many times and I think I smiled every time he was in a scene. Cooper and Tate are your typical male macho characters but you love them anyway - even with their arrogance. All 3 would give their lives for Cat any day of the week and they sure proved it.

Plot, Pace, Writing style: 5/5
Plot = amazing. Pace = Perfect. This story is filled with so many swoonworthy moments and not to mention the steamy ones that had me blushing in traffic! Jeaniene takes you through every single emotion imaginable and then wrings you out some more. I don't think I can sing enough praise for Jeaniene. I will be listening to this series time and time again for sure. One thing I love about her is that she doesn't leave us with cliffhangers but with enough to make us want to read the next book. Jeaniene pulled out quite the emotional card for this one - linked to friendship.

Cover talk: 5/5 Love the cover!

Final Thoughts: An fantastic follow up book and I cannot wait to move on to book 3. Anyone want to donate it for my Birthday/Christmas/Just cause you love me???  *tee hee*

MWYA Random Ramblings - Where have I been?

Hello everyone!

Firstly I do apologise for going completely MIA. To say my life got completely turned upside and inside out is a complete understatement. Without going into much detail lets just say I am starting a complete new chapter and life.

My posts will probably not be as regular as they used to be, but I will still be here! I resigned from my job and am going on an adventure (I sound like the hobbit - tee hee) - maybe I'll go on many adventures around the world. I have some amazing opportunities that have come my way and I am grabbing them with both hands!! If I'm in your part of the world I'll let you know and hopefully get to meet a few of you amazing people.

I was going to visit the USA but unfortunately my visa was declined *shock* I was quite upset initially but after thinking about it, maybe I am just not meant to travel there right now... There are so many of my blogging friends I would love to meet and attend a book event or two. I haven't given up yet!!!

Thank you to the friends that have been there for me and really were shining lights in my life. I will be getting back into my writing and blogging slowly but surely. I barely even read 2 book since the beginning of December! I know this is shocking as most people know how much I am capable of reading. Everything just became overwhelming and I just disconnected. The timeout has been good for me and I have had a lot of time to reassess my life.

I have missed everyone in the blogging world and hope to reconnect with all of you and visit your blogs to see what amazing books and posts I have been missing.
